This was one of my earliest methods of learning, even before I began to paint. It’s stuck with me through the years and only now as I dip more into my own work do I find myself doing less and less direct copies of the old masters.

That being said, it remains a joy to try and capture the essence of a finger print left behind by those who came before me, and struggled the way I do in my own pursuit of something better.
